airforceThe U.S. Air Force has released a sources sought notice to gather information from potential vendors that can offer technical support, system analysis, design, development, operations and maintenance services for the military branch’s Acquisition App Store program.

A FedBizOpps notice posted Wednesday stated the AAS program aims to provide a service-oriented architecture platform for the contracting community to build, discover and execute acquisition processes and applications.

Interested parties can submit their ideas to the Air Force through Aug. 19.

The Air Force seeks to modernize its legacy System Metric and Reporting Tool and consolidate information technology systems and services into a catalog of offerings the service branch expects to mature as more systems transition into the AAS platform.

The service branch noted it aims to launch a competition for AAS program support services by Aug. 29, 2017 and subsequently award a potential seven-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to a single vendor.
