TextronTextron has changed the name of its aviation training business in an effort to focus on live tactical airborne training services for U.S. and allied military forces.

Textron Advanced Aviation Training rebranded as Textron Airborne Solutions following the parent company’s acquisition of Airborne Tactical Advantage Co., Textron said Friday.

Textron Airborne Solutions will integrate ATAC, which provides outsourced tactical aerial training and adversary aggressor support services to military aviators, ground forces and ship crews.

“The tactical live air training market is vibrant and expanding, and the acquisition of ATAC gives us a tremendous platform from which to grow,” said Russ Bartlett, CEO of Textron Airborne Solutions.

Textron Airborne Solutions is scheduled to participate at the Farnborough International Airshow and Royal International Air Tattoo in the U.K.
