San Ramon, California-based cloud-based civic engagement platforms provider Accela has launched a mobile application that works to help contractors manage construction projects across various agencies and locations.
The Accela Contractor Central is available on the Accela Civic Platform as a free Android and iOS mobile app designed to help construction personnel request, schedule and monitor project inspections, the company said Thursday.
The mobile tool is integrated with the Accela Permitting platform that works to facilitate the process to secure a building permit and is built to provide users alerts on inspection and permitting process and single sign-on functionalities for multiple agencies.
Accela has conducted a pilot program for the Contractor Central app in Tampa, Florida, to assess how the mobile tool helps the city’s agencies and contractors perform online permitting and inspection operations.
