American Systems Receives GSA Modification to Add New Health IT SIN; Peter Smith Comments

The General Services Administration has modified American Systems‘ Schedule 70 contract with GSA to include the new special item number for health information technology offerings.

American Systems said Monday the modification allows the company to offer healthcare IT services to federal agencies under the Schedule 70 Health IT SIN 132-56.

“With a focus on defense health and operational medicine, this will help us meet the future healthcare IT needs of our country by providing easy access to our healthcare IT services,” said Peter Smith, American Systems president and CEO.

GSA added the single SIN to its IT Schedule 70 in July in an effort to help agencies differentiate healthcare IT services from other IT services, access pre-vetted vendors and simplify the process for acquisition of such offerings.
