cybersecurityMetova Federal has received a potential $2.5 million contract from the U.S. Navy to provide a suite of cyber range platforms in support of the service branch’s Cyber Operations Training Simulator program.

The company said Thursday it will support the Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command and network operations center through its suite of Cyberoperations Enhanced Network and Training Simulator offerings designed to provide a persistent training environment that works to emulate the service branch’s networks.

The Navy will use Metova’s CyberCENTS to support the certification of its information systems and cryptologic technicians, assessment and training visit teams and an NCDOC group that performs defensive cyber missions.

The contract covers CyberCENTS tools such as CYNTRS, HOTSIM, SLAM-R and Range Global Internet systems.

The CYNTRS platform will work to support the operations of both NOC and NCDOC, while HOTSIM will provide five ship ranges that would be linked to the NOC and NCDOC range components.

HOTSIM and CYNTRS offerings comprise the virtual machine and hardware components for NCOTS, the company said.

Metova’s SLAM-R hardware appliance is designed to provide device and virtual machine management support, attack and event framework for scenario and traffic profile creation and an internet grey space with online sites, while the Range Global Internet platform will serve as the interconnecting hub for the Navy’s NCOTS elements.

Cabot, Arkansas-based Metova Federal is a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business that provides cyber range environments, cyber simulators, mobile applications and technology support services for government and commercial clients.
