F16FleetRaytheon has secured an $8.8 million contract to equip the U.S. Air Force‘s F-15 multirole fighter aircraft with center display units.

The Defense Department said Tuesday Raytheon will retrofit 130 F-16 CDUs as well as provide organic depot maintenance stand-up services under the firm-fixed-price contract.

DoD noted the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center will obligate the full contract amount from fiscal years 2014 and 2015 Air National Guard procurement funds.

Raytheon will perform work in Indianapolis throughout Sept. 30, 2017.

F-16 Fighting Falcons, manufactured by Lockheed Martin, is designed to serve as a weapons system for the U.S. and its allies and performs air-to-air combat as well as air-to-surface attack operations.
