Continental Electronics Corp. has received an $11.4 million contract to replace the system elements of the U.S. Navy“™s Fixed Submarine Broadcast System transmitter equipment.
CEC will replace helix coils of the antenna matching network, pure water cooling loop system, two grid variometers of the AN/FRT-64 very-low-frequency transmitter and power supply, the Defense Department said Friday.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract contains a three-year ordering period and work will occur in Dallas, Texas, through August 2019.
The Navy obligated $7.1 million from its fiscal 2016 operations, maintenance and other procurement funds at the time of award to cover the first delivery order.
Dallas, Texas-based CEC manufactures advanced radio frequency broadcast transmission equipment for broadcasting, military and scientific applications.
