Wyle-logoWyle Laboratories has won a five-year, $41.8 million contract to help the U.S. Navy prevent and mitigate corrosion in the military branch’s naval aviation weapons throughout the systems’ sustainment life cycle.

The Defense Department said Wednesday that Wyle will provide engineering support, proficiency training and technical guidance and advice on complex technical problems under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

Wyle will perform work through September 2021 at various facilities in the U.S., Guam and Japan.

The Navy received four bids for the contract through an electronic request for proposals and obligated $500,265 in the fiscal 2016 operations and maintenance funds at the time of the award.
