PKL Services to Provide Singapore Aircraft Operation Support Under Air Force Contract Modification

turbine aircraftThe U.S. Air Force has awarded PKL Services an $11.9 million contract modification for aircraft maintenance and operation services to Singapore.

The Defense Department said Tuesday the company will perform contract work at the Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho through Sept. 30, 2017.

The 366th Contracting Squadron is the contracting activity for the foreign military sales contract.

PKL Services, which holds ISO 9001 certification, offers aerospace maintenance, training, logistics management and leadership development services.

Northrop Grumman and its SpaceLogistics subsidiary have docked a satellite servicing vehicle to an Intelsat-built commercial communications satellite operating in geostationary orbit as part of a five-year life-extension contract between the companies. Northrop said Monday the Mission Extension Vehicle-2 will provide the IS-10-02 with robotics-based services to extend the satellite's life while in space.
