vionTony Encinias, vice president of public sector strategy at ViON, has discussed the role of cyber analytics as a service in work by governments to mitigate potential threats against systems and information in an interview with GovTech posted Friday.

Encinias told the publication government agencies have adopted cybersecurity tools as a first step to analyze networks and address breaches but organizations experience difficulty in the analysis process due to the volume of data systems generate.

Encinias told Govtech ViON and its Ascolta subsidiary offer cyber analytics services via the AWS GovCloud to provide clients real-time data analysis functions designed to predict attacks or breaches through internal and external data collected.

He also suggested organizational decision-makers on potential cybersecurity and cyber analytics investments to explore as-a-service systems and review how an enterprise’s cyber readiness compares with the National Institute of Standards and Technology cybersecurity framework.
