tegamTEGAM has received a contract from the U.S. Air Force to provide radio-frequency power measurement technology to update RF power sensor calibators that the service branch’s precision metrology and electronics laboratories currently use.

TEGAM said Wednesday it will provide 48 Model 2505A RF power standards for the 6 kilohertz to 18 gigahertz frequency that will each replace two legacy RF power standards in the Air Force’s PMX Series calibrators and help boost the number of RF power sensors that PMELs can support.

The company added the delivery also aims to help Air Force calibration technicians accelerate the setup time per calibration as well as streamline the workload of the service branch’s primary calibration laboratory.

Kevin Kaufman, sales director of TEGAM’s business segment in North America, said the same services can be offered to any military or commercial calibration lab that utilizes legacy TEGAM or Weinschel RF power sensor calibration technology.
