army-vehicleBAE Systems will integrate battle management radio systems into Denmark’s fleet of CV9035 infantry fighting vehicles under a contract with the Danish defense acquisition and logistics organization.

BAE said Monday it will install the radio systems in 44 CV9035 vehicles, which belong to  the CV90 family of tracked vehicles manufactured by BAE Systems Hagglunds.

Peter Nygren, director of business development at BAE Systems Hagglunds, said the company will work to update the Danish combat vehicles as he believes crew survivability and interoperability are of utmost importance to all armed forces.

“The CV90’s open electronic architecture allows for the integration of any country’s chosen system and regular updates of all key electronic systems,” Nygren added.

BAE Systems will work with industrial partners in Denmark and provide jobs, technology transfer and investment as part of the contract awarded in September.
