NetApp logo_EbizBill Miller, former senior vice president and chief information officer at Broadcom, has joined NetApp in the same role of CIO and will be responsible for both the company’s information technology organization and ongoing transformation initiatives.

NetApp said Wednesday Miller will manage the NetApp on NetApp and Customer-1 programs that aim to help the company’s engineering and field organizations update and demonstrate technology platforms.

He will also support customers in efforts to drive data management services across their IT environments through data silo integration, process automation and barrier removal.

As CIO at Broadcom, Miller led that company’s work to apply cloud computing applications in its enterprise and collaborations with partners.

He is also a former CIO at Harris Corp. and established Sabal Systems, a consulting firm focused on cybersecurity, IT industry product positions, billing and recovery systems.

At Harris, he focused on IT service deliveries to 20,000 computing clients worldwide in the government and commercial sectors.

He contributes executive boards at the University of Central Florida, Information Systems Associates at University of California Los Angeles, University of California Irvine’s Center for Digital Transformation and the Information Management Forum.
