cybersecurityBooz Allen Hamilton and Techstars have unveiled six teams comprised of startups and Booz Allen’s product teams that will work to develop cybersecurity technologies.

Techstars said Monday it entered a partnership with Booz Allen to support and develop emerging technologies that could help address cybersecurity threats.

The first class of the Startup Next Cyber pre-accelerator program includes Booz Allen’s Attacus, AppCritique and Kaizen product teams along with external startups Sekur Me, RunSafe Security and SecondWrite.

Attacus is designed to help manufacturers verify products’ components to monitor for potentially counterfeit parts while AppCritique works to detect flaws in Android and iOS mobile applications, Techstars noted.

Kaizen is built to facilitate “Capture the Flag” events to test cybersecurity skills through real-world scenarios.

Sekur Me offers instant two-factor authentication to eliminate user IDs and passwords while RunSafe Security works to protect connected vehicle fleets from remote attacks and SecondWrite applies a patented technology in efforts to detect and analyze malware.

Techstars noted it will work with Booz Allen’s cybersecurity team, mentors, startups and product teams to further develop and introduce the technologies to the market.
