Day & Zimmermann and Rheinmetall have launched a joint venture in an effort to introduce fully integrated munitions manufacturing and design services to the U.S. market.
The new Rheinmetall, Day & Zimmermann Munitions business will utilize RWM’s ammunition design and development knowledge and D&Z’s manufacturing experience, D&Z said Wednesday.
Michael Yoh, president of D&Z’s munitions and government services business, said the JV will support the companies’ efforts to provide munition technologies and products to warfighters.
He added the partnership also aims to help boost safety and quality standards.
