Leidos to Build, Implement Army's Common Driver Trainer Systems - top government contractors - best government contracting event

leidos_purpleLeidos has received a potential $10 million prime contract to develop and deploy 14 common driver trainer systems for the U.S. Army‘s program executive office for simulation, training and instrumentation.

Leidos said Tuesday it will produce the CDTs at the company’s Lee Vista Integration Facility in Orlando, Florida, and deliver the systems to Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri.

The contract has a two-year base period and one sixteen-month option.

“Leidos understands the value of these simulators, and our team looks forward to fielding these new systems at Fort Leonard Hood in further support of the PEO STRI’s mission to achieve Army readiness,” said John Fratamico, president of Leidos’ advanced solutions group.

The company noted that CDT simulation offers training on tasks that may be too dangerous to conduct on actual equipment and seeks to boost current driver training at the military branch’s installation.
