Rockwell Collins inked an agreement with Taqnia Aeronautics and the latter’s defense and security technology subsidiaries to collaborate on fixed-wing avionics and military rotary opportunities in Saudi Arabia.
The partnership will cover work on aircraft assembled, manufactured and updated in Saudi Arabia and the team will look to open technology jobs in the country, Rockwell Collins said Tuesday.
“Rockwell Collins is expanding its presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and is committed to providing technical job opportunities to local citizens,” said Claude Alber, Rockwell Collins’ vice president and managing director of Europe, Middle East and Africa operations.
Ali Al-Ghamdi, Taqnia Aeronautics CEO, said the agreement supports the growth of the local Saudi Arabian aerospace industry capacity as well as the country’s Vision 2030 and National Transformation Program 2020 missions.
