CAE to Extend Operations Support for Canada's NATO Flight Training Program; Joe Armstrong Comments - top government contractors - best government contracting eventCAE will continue to support a Canadian air force-run military flight training program for NATO and allied air forces under a potential $228 million contract modification from Canada’s government.

CAE said Thursday the modification extends the performance period of the company’s NATO Flying Training in Canada support contract to 2023 and includes an option that could further extend work through 2024.

“Since acquiring the NFTC program in October 2015, CAE has worked closely with the Royal Canadian Air Force on a range of initiatives to help improve the quality and efficiency of training,” said Joe Armstrong, vice president and general manager of CAE’s Canadian subsidiary.

The company will also add new technologies and perform updates to Canada’s NFTC training aircraft and system.

The modification covers upgrade work on CT-155 Hawk aircraft and flight training devices as well as update, maintenance and obsolescence management services for CT-156 Harvard aircraft and FTDs.
