ViON Gets Top Small Business Fundraising Award for Heart Walk Efforts; Liz Anthony Comments - top government contractors - best government contracting eventViON has received the Top Small Business Fundraising Company award in recognition of its efforts during the 2016 Greater Washington Heart Walk.

The company said Monday it raised $30,000 in funds during the Heart Walk event held Nov. 5 at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. in support of the American Heart Association’s goal to raise $2.27 million in research funds.

Liz Anthony, senior vice president of marketing at ViON, served as chairman of the 2016 Executives with Heart campaign that seeks to encourage corporate executives to participate in the fundraising event.

“Heart disease and stroke is so personal to me and many of our colleagues and it’s a powerful motivator knowing that our efforts as a team are directly supporting life-changing research,” Anthony said.

The Executives with Heart campaign raised $438,000 during 2016.
