Northrop’s Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits Comply With FCC 5G Requirements - top government contractors - best government contracting eventA Northrop Grumman business has announced several monolithic microwave integrated circuit offerings that comply with the Federal Communications Commission’s requirements for 5G frequency bands.

Northrop’s microelectronics products and services business made the announcement at the 2017 International Microwave Symposium, the company said Wednesday.

Some of those MMIC products include APN243, APN248 and APN228 GaN HEMT high power amplifiers.

Chris Brown, general manager for Northrop’s MPS business, said the company’s power amplifiers work to optimize data throughput within the allotted bandwidth by offering “high-linearity performance near peak output power levels required for complex modulations.”

Northrop also demonstrated manufacturing options for gallium nitride and high-power chipsets for Ka-, Ku-, Q-, W-, E– and V-band communications at the event.
