ViON EVP Rob Davies to Speak at MeriTalk's Federal Big Data Webinar

Rob Davies, executive vice president of operations at ViON, will participate in a MeriTalk-hosted webcast on federal big data management to be held on Wednesday.

He will discuss with federal and industry executives big data leadership, strategies related to big data management and the impact of big data on agencies' modernization programs, MeriTalk said Thursday.

Davies, an inductee into Executive Mosaic's Wash100 for 2017, is a 25-year information technology veteran who oversees infrastructure-as-a-service and cloud offerings at ViON.

Other featured speakers at the webinar “Calling the Plays: Streamlining Government with a Federal Big Data Playbook“ include Kevin Garrison, chief of analytics at the Defense Department, and Michael Valivullah, chief technology officer at the Agriculture Department's National Agricultural Statistics Service.

Booz Allen-Taqtile Team to Deploy Augmented Reality Tech at Military 5G Test Site

Booz Allen Hamilton and augmented reality company Taqtile have partnered to demonstrate how 5G-powered AR technology can support military base operations as part of a $600 million Department of Defense experimentation and testing program. Taqtile said Wednesday it will provide the Manifest platform to Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state for a demonstration of the technology as potential digital storage for maintenance and repair data at the installation.
