Gene Colabatistto

Gene Colabatistto, president of CAE’s defense and security group, was one of the featured speakers at the 2017 Scholarship and Fellowship Dinner hosted Wednesday by the University of Southern California’s Viterbi School of Engineering.

Colabatistto is a USC alumnus who established the Colabatistto Family Scholarship in 2015 with his wife Connie, USC Viterbi said Friday.

“Going long on USC is a winner’s game, and that means investing in students,” Colabatistto said.

“A chance for a true education is made possible by scholarship support,” he added.

At least 100 guests participated in the event that offered scholarship recipients an opportunity to meet their respective donors.

Margaret Kean, senior associate dean for advancement at USC Viterbi, hosted the dinner that also featured speakers such as USC Viterbi Dean Yannis Yortsos and Rhea Choudhury, a USC Viterbi junior and Richardson Merit Research awardee.
