CSRA to Develop Tactical Trainer Platform for Navy LCS Under $51M Order - top government contractors - best government contracting eventCSRA has received a potential $51 million delivery order to produce an integrated tactical trainer system for the U.S. Navy‘s Independence-variant Littoral Combat Ship 6.

The company said Monday it will provide the Virtualship software package for the military branch to train bridge teams for at-sea operations.

Virtualship is designed to support hydrodynamics and maritime environmental modeling activities as well as integrate with external systems and simulations.

The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division will install and operate company-made ITTs at an LCS facility in San Diego.

The service branch awarded the order through Training Systems Contract III.

CSRA said its Virtualship platform currently supports modeling operations at the Navy, U.S. Coast Guard and U.K.’s Royal Navy.
