Roger Krone, chairman and CEO of Leidos, has received the “2017 Responsible CEO of the Year” award from the CR Magazine in recognition of leadership and commitment to employee outreach, charitable efforts and other corporate responsibility programs.

The magazine presented the award to Krone at its annual COMMIT!Forum held Thursday at MGM National Harbor in Maryland, Leidos said Friday.

“A successful company means being a strong corporate citizen, serving customers and communities alike, in a sustainable way,” said Krone, also an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 for 2017.

He said he is humbled to accept the award that seeks to acknowledge the company’s workforce and its contribution to communities.
