Leonardo‘s Selex ES subsidiary has won a potential $20.9 million contract to supply instrument landing systems to the U.S. Navy.
The contract was awarded through a competitive procurement process and covers 31 Model 2100 instrument landing systems along with collocated distance measuring equipment, Leonardo said Monday.
The company noted its Model 2100 technology will work to help naval aviators perform safe instrument landings in all weather conditions.
The Federal Aviation Administration also awarded Leonardo a contract to provide more than 500 Model 1118A/1119AÂ distance measuring equipment.
