CenturyLink has received a five-year contract from the state government of Pennsylvania to supply data networking products.
The telecommunications company said Monday it will work with Comcast‘s business arm to deliver network services and last mile connectivity to state agencies, commissions, councils, bureaus, authorities and boards.
The new contract reflects another phase of service delivery under a contract awarded to CenturyLink’s Level 3 Communications subsidiary in September.
CenturyLink acquired Level 3 in November through a $34 billion deal.
The new award covers microwave data access, fixed satellite data access, ethernet, high-speed cellular access, business class broadband, bandwidth on demand, virtual private local area networks and managed network services, among others.
