Charles River Analytics Gets Additional Army Funding for Tourniquet Master Training System - top government contractors - best government contracting eventThe U.S. Army has provided an additional funding of $1 million through a two-and-a-half-year contract for Charles River Analytics‘ effort to develop a training system on tourniquet technology usage.

The company said Tuesday it is working in partnership with the University of Wisconsin, Boston Engineering and Compression Works to construct the Tourniquet Master Training system.

The TMT system is being designed to train troops in treating injuries with the use of tourniquet technology.

The system’s development effort seeks to teach warfighters to treat injuries, such as those involving the abdomen or pelvis, that exclusively require the use of new junctional tourniquets.

These new tourniquets include the Combat Ready Clamp, the Abdominal Aortic Junctional Tourniquet and the Junctional Emergency Treatment Tool.
