The space agency said Saturday its Space Technology Mission Directorate seeks proposals from accredited universities through the Early Career Faculty appendix of the “Space Technology Research, Development, Demonstration and Infusion 2018” solicitation, NASA said Saturday.

Each selected research project could receive up to $200,000 per year.

The agency noted it will fund efforts to develop batteries for extreme cold environments; a metal organic framework and ionic liquids/membrane technologies for carbon dioxide removal; and entry guidance methods for planetary landers.
