Vivek Lall: Lockheed Eyes “˜Exclusive“™ F-16 Production Unit in India - top government contractors - best government contracting eventVivek Lall, vice president of strategy and business development at Lockheed Martin, told the Press Trust of India in an interview published Monday the company plans to establish a production line for F-16 fighter jets in India to support the country“™s Make in India program and help meet its operational requirements.

“We plan to introduce two new words into the lexicon of international fighter aircraft manufacturing: ‘India’ and ‘exclusive,“™“ Lall told the publication.

“F-16 production in India will be exclusive,“ he added.

He noted that Lockheed has introduced avionics and structural component upgrades to the U.S. Air Force“™s fleet of F-16s to prolong the aircraft“™s service life to 2045.
