Engility has joined a Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies-led industry team that will support operations at NASA‘s Houston-based human spaceflight hub under a potential eight-year, $1.12 billion contract.
The Mission Systems Operations Contract covers administrative, technical and managerial services for the NASA Flight Operations Directorate’s systems that support multiple spaceflight programs, Engility said Tuesday.
Those programs encompass the International Space Station, Orion, Space Launch System and Commercial Crew Program.
MSOC contains a two-year base period and three two-year options.
Mark Bruno, senior vice president of Engility’s space and mission systems business group, said the company offers expertise that dovetails with the directorate’s efforts to train astronauts and manage operations for human spaceflight programs.
Bruno added the company has supported the space agency over the past five decades.
