Hughes’ Tony Bardo: Multiple connectivity options essential for public sector comms network

Tony Bardo

Tony Bardo, assistant vice president of the government solutions business at Hughes Network Systems, has said he believes that offering multiple connectivity options to customer agencies can help them manage communications, Via Satellite reported Wednesday.

He told Via Satellite in an interview that a provider should offer public sector clients different methods to communicate in the event of a critical situation.

Hughes received a contract from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to support the state’s telecommunications network with a managed network service using wireline, wireless and satellite broadband platforms.

Bardo said he observed that cloud migration efforts help drive a demand for multitransport connectivity at field offices.
