Mary Legere, managing director for national and defense intelligence business at Accenture‘s federal arm, has received recognition from the Women in Technology organization for her work in the defense sector.
WIT honored Legere with the Women in Defense Technology Leadership Award at a ceremony that took place Thursday in Reston, Va., the company said.
John Goodman, chief executive of Accenture Federal Services, said Legere has contributed technology experience and expertise to help clients address national security, cyber and intelligence missions with the company’s offerings.
She joined AFS last year and served as a senior intelligence officer at the U.S. Army from 2012 to 2016.
The retired Army lieutenant general previously supervised the service branch’s enterprise of 58,000 intelligence professionals, as well as helped develop and implement its multibillion dollar strategic plan.
