IBM, Red Hat Forge Hybrid Cloud Tech Partnership - top government contractors - best government contracting eventIBM and Red Hat have agreed to expand their partnership to help clients speed up the adoption of hybrid cloud platforms.

The companies will work to help clients develop and deploy containerized applications to the hybrid cloud through the use of IBM Cloud Private platform and Red Hat OpenShift container offering, IBM said Tuesday.

IBM will integrate its middleware platforms and Cloud Private and Cloud Private for Data offerings with the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform through the agreement.

Both firms will also provide implementation and consultancy support services to clients through Red Hat Consulting and IBM Garage.

Arvind Krishna, senior vice president for IBM’s hybrid cloud, said the company’s vision for hybrid cloud through the use of container tools seeks to help government agencies and commercial enterprises to gain access to both companies’ technologies “without having to choose between public and private cloud.”
