ForeScout to Help Secure Energy Infrastructure in Collaborative Effort - top government contractors - best government contracting eventForeScout has been selected to help secure the country’s energy sector infrastructure.

Ryan Brichant, ForeScout vice president and chief technology officer for critical infrastructure and operational technology security, said Wednesday that his company and seven other firms have been chosen to perform work under the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence’s Energy Sector Asset Management Project.

The firms will develop a cybersecurity reference design meant to improve an energy company’s ability to control and secure its operational technology equipment.

The NCCoE will publish a National Institute for Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Practice Guide, which will document the resulting reference design and outline the steps required for its implementation.

“It is a privilege to be selected for this caliber of cybersecurity research and collaboration among some of the brightest security minds and highest protection requirements in the field,” Brichant commented.
