Lockheed, Rafael Advanced Systems to Market Missile Guidance Kits - top government contractors - best government contracting eventLockheed Martin and Israel-based Rafael Advanced Systems have partnered to market the latter’s Smart, Precise Impact and Cost-Effective missile guidance kits to the U.S.

The companies will work to determine the potential markets and corresponding requirements for the kits under a co-signed memorandum of understanding, Lockheed said Monday.

The SPICE autonomous, air-to-surface kits are designed to track targets even in areas denied of the global positioning system.

The marketing effort covers the 1,000-pound and 2,000-pound variants of SPICE.

“We are excited to engage in cooperation with Lockheed Martin to make SPICE available as a U.S.-made system, adapted to fully meet U.S. standards,” said Yuval Miller, executive vice president, head of Rafael’s air and C4ISR division.
