Microsoft to Launch Chat-Based Workspace for US Government Cloud Users

Microsoft is scheduled to roll out on July 17 aÂ chat-based workspace designed to help government cloudÂ users communicate, collaborate, manage tools and access files.

Chantal De Menezes, a seniorÂ product marketing manager atÂ Microsoft, wrote in a blog entry posted June 28Â thatÂ US Government Cloud Community customers will have access to theÂ Microsoft TeamsÂ hub by the end of August.

The workspace is built with enterprise-levelÂ security, compliance and manageability functions as well as video communications and applications from theÂ Office 365 cloud platform.

Office 365 apps includeÂ SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.
