Microsoft to Launch Chat-Based Workspace for US Government Cloud Users - top government contractors - best government contracting eventMicrosoft is scheduled to roll out on July 17 a chat-based workspace designed to help government cloud users communicate, collaborate, manage tools and access files.

Chantal De Menezes, a senior product marketing manager at Microsoft, wrote in a blog entry posted June 28 that US Government Cloud Community customers will have access to the Microsoft Teams hub by the end of August.

The workspace is built with enterprise-level security, compliance and manageability functions as well as video communications and applications from the Office 365 cloud platform.

Office 365 apps include SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.
