Peraton has received a $9.45 million contract to provide automation tools for the Justice Department‘s intrusion analysis and malware triage activities.

The company said Monday its analysts will help DOJ examine details of computer and network intrusions, as well as manage the full life cycle of digital media.

“Countering sophisticated cyber threats requires advanced technical capabilities that are executed within a high tempo mission environment,” said Roger Mason, president of Peraton’s space, intelligence and cyber sector and a four-time Wash100 awardee.

Under the contract, company analysts will perform forensic analysis and malware reverse engineering support while its engineers will design, develop and maintain a malware triage and repository system for the department.
