Army Requests Info on Multiple Launch Rocket System Engineering Support Services - top government contractors - best government contracting eventThe U.S. Army‘s Precision Fires Rocket and Missile Systems Project Office is requesting for information on engineering services required in test activities of multiple launch rocket systems.

The office requires these services to support the MLRS Launcher Instrumentation Data Acquisition System and the MLRS Family of Munitions Weapons Simulator in gathering data during MLRS tests, the Army said Thursday in a FedBizOpps notice.

The two systems work to acquire, regulate and analyze data in support of programs aiming to develop launchers, rockets and warheads.

Input gathered from the request for information will help the Army formulate requirements for a corresponding five-year contract to be initiated in November.

Responses to the RFI are due Aug. 30.

The Army’s M270A1 MLRS is built to launch rockets and missiles to targets in complex and open environments.
