DLA Tasks Northrop to Deliver Transceivers for Air Force’s C-130J Aircraft

The Defense Logistics Agency has awarded Northrop Grumman a potential five-year, $15.4M firm-fixed-price contract to deliver receiver-transmitter processors for C-130J Super Hercules aircraft deployed in U.S. Air Force operations.

The Defense Department said Wednesday that DLA Aviation will obligate the Air Force’s fiscal 2018 working capital funds for the sole-sourced contract.

C-130 Hercules is used by the Air Force for airlift support, Antarctic ice resupply, aeromedical missions, weather reconnaissance, aerial spray missions, relief operations and firefighting missions for the U.S. Forest Service.

Work on the delivery contract will take place in Georgia through Aug. 1, 2021.
