NASA is soliciting industry for designs and studies that would help the agency modify its space relay infrastructure through the use of public-private partnerships.
The space agency intends to employ an augmented space relay to develop shared satellite systems and provide commercial communications or navigation services, NASA said Aug. 16Â in a FedBizOpps notice.
The solicitation calls for studies on commercial service concepts, NASA payload/terminal accommodation and PPP communications services that would contribute to the space relay’s augmentation.
Responses to the solicitation are due Aug. 31.
