Heidi Magnelia, a finance veteran of multiple government contracting firms, has joined Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute as chief financial officer.
She succeeds Peter Menniti and oversees the institute’s financial, business and central administrative functions in her new role, SEI said Tuesday.
Magnelia gained more than three decades of financial management experience from her career at Mitre, Booz Allen Hamilton and Science Applications International Corp.
The certified public accountant also held the positions of controller, director of business services and assistant treasurer at the Virginia-based Center for Naval Analyses.
