Lockheed Martin has developed a tool that consolidates disparate systems and assets from different domains into a single platform to speed up mission planning processes.

The Multi-Domain Synchronized Effects Tool is designed to synchronize essential information from traditional stove-piped systems to allow warfighters to make decisions based on concurrent situational awareness of activity in multiple domains, the company said Monday.

Rob Smith, vice president of C4ISR and unmanned aerial systems at Lockheed, said MDSET allows for accelerated and streamlined multi-domain mission effects planning and replanning to provide agility to U.S. troops.

In August, Lockheed leveraged MDSET in a series of wargames to equip participants with command and control capabilities to operate in multi-domain battlespace scenarios.
