Treasury Dept Renews R&D Center Operation Contract With Mitre; Beth Meinert Quoted - top government contractors - best government contracting eventMitre will continue to operate a federally funded research and development center for the Treasury Department through 2023 under a contract extension.

The Center for Enterprise Modernization FFRDC helps the Internal Revenue Service and other agencies at the Treasury meet mission-critical requirements by providing data-driven analysis, integration, systems engineering and decision support, Mitre said Wednesday.

“Mitre is pleased after an extensive comprehensive review period to have been selected as a mission partner for the Treasury and its bureaus for the next five years,” said Beth Meinert, vice president and director for Mitre’s CEM-financial and economic transformation.

CEM is one of the seven Mitre-run FFRDCs and works to help IRS carry out tasks and improve business processes through the use of agile frameworks, information technology management and private sector resources.
