KBR Business Unit Receives $62M Contract Modification to Extend Navy Support - top government contractors - best government contracting event

A KBR business unit has received a one-year, $62M contract modification to continue to support operations at the U.S. Navy‘s support facility in Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory.

KBR Diego Garcia will help the branch manage information and telecommunication systems, public safety, air and port operations, supply, facilities and equipment as part of the modification that exercises an option under a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Defense Department said Friday.

Work is scheduled to occur through November 2019 and the exercised option will bring the contract’s total cumulative value to $118.2M.

The Navy will provide $43.6M in fiscal 2019 operations and maintenance and non-appropriated funds upon issuance of individual task orders during the extension, with $42.7M in obligated funds slated to expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

Pearl Harbor-based Naval Facilities Engineering Command Pacific is the contracting activity.
