KBR’s government services arm has secured two contracts totaling almost $54M to provide base operations support to the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia.

KBRwyle will provide services such as facility management, galley support, vehicle maintenance and other base operations work including pest control, fire emergency support and laundry, KBR said Thursday.

The first order, an cost-plus-award-fee contract, is worth $23.5M and requires the company to give assistance at a Naval Support Facility in Poland for one base year and three option years.

The second order, a $30M U.S. Navy contract modification, tasks KBRwyle to deliver base operations support to customers in Bahrain and exercises the fourth extension option of a contract awarded in June 2014.

The modification brings the contract’s cumulative value to $147M.

Byron Bright, president of KBR Government Services U.S., said the contract awards showcase the company’s role as a provider of base operations support to civilians and armed forces worldwide.

KBR noted that it has delivered operational services to military bases in support of U.S. and allied troops since World War II.
