Mitre Plans San Antonio, Texas, Office Relocation; Bobby Blount Quoted - top government contractors - best government contracting eventMitre will relocate its current office in San Antonio, Texas, to the Northwest Side after four decades of conducting business near a joint military installation, San Antonio Business Journal reported Wednesday.

The report said nearly 70 of the nonprofit company’s employees will move to a facility at Corporate Square by early 2019.

Bobby Blount, department head at Mitre’s San Antonio location, told the Business Journal in an interview that proximity to clients and partners was a key factor the organization considered when selecting the new location.

Blount added the nonprofit expects to attract professionals who can work with government sponsors in the region.

Mitre currently supports the National Security Collaboration Center at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
