GSA Unveils Draft Solicitation for ‘GLS Plus’ Leasing Services Contract - top government contractors - best government contracting eventThe General Services Administration has released a draft solicitation for the latest iteration of its GSA Leasing Support Services contract.

The GLS Plus contract will include additional support services to help federal agencies build up their capability to implement leasing projects, GSA said Wednesday.

“GLS Plus is designed to improve GSA’s ability to efficiently and effectively replace its inventory of expiring leases on time and avoid costly lease extensions,” said Allison Azevedo, assistant commissioner for leasing at GSA.

“Feedback from industry real estate professionals suggests there are greater opportunities to leverage private sector practices that will allow us to achieve increased real estate savings,” Azevedo added.

GSA aims to expand the use of brokers, generate savings and advance customer engagement through the integration of analytical tools, virtual market tours and other technologies as well as pre-and post-award services under the GLS Plus program.

Public comments on the draft solicitation are due Jan. 9.
