Pegasystems to Help FBI Implement Business Process Mgmt Software; Doug Averill Comments - top government contractors - best government contracting eventPegasystems has received a subscription contract from the FBI to provide software applications for bureau personnel to automate processes and manage workflows.

The company said Tuesday it will help FBI’s business process management unit deploy financial, human resources and security tools as part of a digital transformation effort.

The bureau chose Pegasystems’ Government Platform and Robotic Process Automation to replace legacy systems that have supported more than 50,000 employees and contractors.

“Many government agencies are currently tackling today’s challenges with yesterday’s technology; however, most legacy technology fails to meet the requirements government employees need to do their jobs efficiently,” said Doug Averill, industry market lead for Pegasystems’ government business.

Speaking with ExecutiveBiz Monday, Averill added, “We’re proud to be an integral part of the FBI’s enterprise modernization. Pega’s ability to handle complex workflows will help support better decision making across the various geographies and data centers for the most important law enforcement agency. We’re seeing great momentum for our solutions in the U.S. federal law enforcement community as they adopt Pega as their platform for digital transformation.”

The Government Platform is intended to help government clients develop new mission applications and the Robotic Process Automation technology is designed to automate manual tasks.
