A business unit of BAE Systems has won a potential $12.2M cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to develop and implement a system for interconnecting applications and data across multiple networks that can support dynamic missions.

BAE’s information and electronic systems integration group will help the Air Force Research Laboratory create a networking adaptation mechanism for the Mission Optimization Extensible Network Architecture, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

AFRL received two offers for the project, which is expected to conclude by July 30, 2020, and will obligate $9.8M at the time of award from the branch’s fiscal 2018 and 2019 research, development, test and evaluation funds
