Harris‘ space and intelligence systems business has landed a potential five-year, $72.3M contract to sustain ground-based electronic warfare systems and supporting infrastructure for the U.S. Air Force’s Space and Missile Systems Center

The company will also develop a Block 10.3 version of the military service’s the Counter Communications System as part of the Combat Mission Systems Support program, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

The sustainment effort covers depot support amd sustainment engineering, studies and analysis, system modifications and updates, operations support and transition of future systems, according to a FedBizOpps summary.

Work will occur in Palm Bay, Fla., and Colorado Springs, Colo., and is scheduled to conclude by Feb. 29, 2014.

The military service will initially provide a total of $19.9M from its fiscal 2018 research, development, test and evaluation; and fiscal 2019 operations and maintenance funds.
